Multani Blues Royal Journey

From Multan to Buckingham Palace: Our Blue Pottery’s Royal Journey

In the heart of South Asia lies a centuries-old tradition of craftsmanship — a heritage born from the ancient city of Multan, known for its spiritual depth, architectural wonder, and of course, its breathtaking blue pottery. Today, we are proud and humbled to share that this tradition has made its way to Buckingham Palace.

In December 2024, a handcrafted Multani blue pottery bowl from our studio was gifted to His Majesty King Charles III. The piece, rich with vibrant cobalt glaze and intricate geometric and floral patterns, represented not only the timeless art of Multan, but also the spirit and skill of the artisans behind it.

To our immense honour, we received a personal acknowledgment from Buckingham Palace, expressing the King’s sincere appreciation for the gift.

A Note from the Palace

“The King could not have been more delighted and so greatly admired the wonderful colour and glaze and the skilfully crafted motifs.”
 — The Earl of Rosslyn, Personal Secretary to the King and Queen

The letter, dated 17th December 2024, confirmed the King’s admiration for the bowl’s colour, glaze, and craftsmanship. It also extended royal thanks to the artist behind the work, Ahmad Hassan, whose hands brought this vision to life.

This recognition is not just a proud moment for us, but a celebration of Multani artisanship on a global platform.

To commemorate this unforgettable moment, we are proud to launch a limited edition pieces of the the bowl presented to His Majesty. The “Royal Collection” features designs echoing the very motifs and glaze admired by the King — now available for our customers to bring into their own homes.

We extend heartfelt thanks to Buckingham Palace for their kind words and acknowledgment, and to the many supporters and admirers of our craft. Moments like these remind us why we do what we do — to preserve heritage, celebrate beauty, and connect cultures through art.
