where tradition meets craftsmanship

MULTANI BLUES

Multani Blues was born from a deep admiration for heritage, craftsmanship, and the stories etched into every brushstroke of Multan’s iconic blue pottery. Growing up in Multan, I was surrounded by tales of the city’s ancient past—of travellers, traders, and artisans who kept traditions alive for centuries. I was fascinated by the delicate beauty of kashigari, the intricate hand-painted patterns in vivid blues and whites that adorned everything from mausoleums to everyday ceramics.

Our Amazing Craft

The blue colour prepared from cobalt oxide and copper oxide using a special technique gives kashigari its distinctive look. Trade secrets about colour combinations as well as patterns have been passed down family lines of prominent artisans. Traditionally, red clay from the Indus River was popular in the production of pottery in the region.
